The Journal of Geospatial Analytics and Environmental Change publishes interdisciplinary research that addresses environmental change through geospatial science, Earth observation, spatial analytics, modelling and related technologies. The journal welcomes research on land-use and land-cover change, climate change, environmental degradation, ecosystem dynamics, natural resource management, environmental hazards, agricultural landscapes, urban and rural environments, biodiversity, soil and water resources, environmental vulnerability, and sustainability.

The journal particularly encourages research that connects geospatial evidence with environmental processes, management challenges, adaptation, mitigation and sustainable development.

Our Editorial Philosophy

The journals seek to promote research that is:

• Original – contributing new knowledge, methods, evidence or interpretation;
• Rigorous – supported by appropriate methodology and analysis;
• Transparent – providing sufficient information to enable assessment and, where possible, reproduction;
• Interdisciplinary – encouraging meaningful connections across geospatial, environmental and computational disciplines;
• Ethical – complying with recognised standards of research and publication integrity;
• Globally relevant – welcoming research from all geographical regions while giving particular attention to challenges and opportunities relevant to Africa and the Global South.
